Or is he simply recovering having had lunch in one of the older pubs that's been moved to a new location?

He’ll be recovering. You know Benny…once he starts drinking he can’t stop. So whilst his family could just have A COUPLE OF PINTS and leave it at that, Benny will have continued on a BENNY BENDER until it knocks him out cold in his living room snoring. 🙂

        I hope so Bobby
Benny doesn't like going into town much (Remember you invited him to Rice and Three?) and so he could have gotten overwhelmed with those Far Right yobs that his father is training up for World War 3

Do you think that his father went up to Piccadilly Gardens after lunch with his phone on a stick? I’m glad that I didn’t go if that’s the case. Mind you if I were there then I could have sneaked Benny off to Dave’s Hot Chicken or the big Waterstones. 🙂

I would have loved to have given him my Cracker tour where I showed him various filming locations of Cracker so that he too could see all of the things that aren’t there anymore. 🙂

Has Benny even seen Cracker Bobby?
He's old enough to have seen it, but I'm not sure if he's ever mentioned it

Yes he has, that’s why I thought that he might enjoy my location tour. I can remember him talking about the episode with Robert Carlyle in as Albie. Specifically the part where he’s 20p short for something and tells the shopkeeper he’ll drop it off later and the shopkeeper says no so Albie goes home, shaves his head, returns and stabs him. 🙂

Well it would work out as 20p in today’s money so I wasn’t wrong. 🙂

Is The Sun newspaper still 10p?
According to your logic it should be 50p now

Well I ran it through an inflation calculator but I don’t think it works. 4p in 1994 (when the episode To be a Somebody first aired) would be worth 9p today. Hmm…seems fishy. So then I remembered that Zoooad that you posted the cover of was 50p in 1992, so I ran that through the calculator…£1.12! Bargain, but I doubt it. 🙂

You know, the ones with two wives who live next door to each other and always walk about in their underwear or nightgowns
Oh, and Andy Capp (And Skol)

Striker was a real boring football strip. Like Roy of the Rovers only without the nice chew bar. 🙂
