If Caitlyn Jenner appears in Transparent, I and many other people will never watch it again. Caitlyn is an enemy to the LGBTQ community and is a horrible excuse for a human being in general.
If the producers of this show don't know that, then this show isn't worth anyone's time. -

I completely agree.
Caitlyn Jenner is the most shallow, narcissistic fool ever on television.
And, really, that is saying quite a lot.
It's not enough for that idiot to repeat nonsense, like a drunk parrot, off of FoxNews about the presidential election, the insipid NPD-riddled moron needs to make national politics all about herself: "I'm surprised that Ted Cruz hasn't called ME to ask ME be an ambassador!" You know why? As odious as Ted Cruz is, as odious as you, he isn't stupid like you. He went to Princeton. Caitlyn, you are an idiot. So stupid, you don't even realize it.
If this show embraces that type of vulgar, cheap, idiotic sensationalism, then they have lost me as a viewer. -

Ummm The show is all about that exact type of vulgar, cheap, idiotic sensationalizing of a transwoman and a dysfunctional family.
And people are glued to the train wreck it shows them, because we love to watch a train wreck - especially when we are safely at home
The show is actually very much like Jenner and the Kardashians - but with a better script and more interesting actors (except for the one who plays Allie - who needs to go). -

Syd is too much of a beautiful character [inside & out] to be treated so horrifically by Ali Pfefferman. In season 1, after many years have passed, Syd finally admits her romantic feelings for Ali nothing is really resolved as Ali abruptly leaves. So the audience is left to assume Syd's life goes on without any kind of relationship with Ali, even as friends.
In season 2, Ali visits Syd's loft in what seems like the first time in a while. Ali apologizes for her past behavior and Syd forgives. This all leads to Ali falling for Syd and their relationship seems good for both of them until Ali moves onto her next lesbian crush while staying with Syd (Syd wants to remain monogamous), leaving Syd heartbroken. All of this really just boils down to, I personally can't stand Ali.
Anyone want to add, please do. -

The acronyms are getting hard to keep up with, I don't even know what I'm categorised as anymore. I never know what to tick on those diversity forms, usually default to 'other'.
I sound like a total hippy, but I long for the day when we lose the labels and just see each other as human beings and treat each other as such.
It's shameful how long our social evolution is taking to reach such a basic concept. -

In some ways it has moved slow as molasses, yet in others, now that a decent amount of awareness has spread, it seems to be moving at a decent clip.
Soon, all the people who are firmly anti-inclusion will all be dead, and their hatred will cause them in many quarters to be remembered as fascisistic. On the other hand, that also means that many of those alive who are the same age will also never get to see a true New Age Of Enligheent (AoE II?).
But time and Death ensure change (thank goodness). It'll never seem to be moving quick enough but it's coming.
