I know that I said that I need a few weeks to get my head around recent events with you and that still stands! However I’ve got no one else to talk about Doctor Who with because no one else watches it, so it will have to be you. However if we keep it to just THIS THREAD then we should be ok.
So I’m all caught up now. Last week’s was quite enjoyable with the black barbers shop and the way to tell a Neil Gaiman story without the involvement of GAYMAN. I enjoyed it and it was nice of the Doctor to forgive that naughty man and let him carry on cutting hair in the barbers shop and be part of a proper community.
This weeks was ok. I’m not really into Eurovision as I prefer REAL MUSIC, but Doctor Who does enjoy celebrating the camp and naff under Russell so I suppose it’s ok. It will age quickly though. Nice to see Graham Norton as Graham Norton has a long history with Who. It was HIS VOICE which invaded the very first episode of Doctor Who all these years ago. What a fateful evening that was.
The Doctor was very angry with that incel with the horns wasn’t he and I could see him beating him up all the live long day. He should have murdered him. YES QUEEN!!
The Hellions represent black people I think and our mistreatment of black people and Africa over the years.
Please don’t speak to me about Mrs Flood as I am just not interested.

Well Bobby, I had no idea who that dark haired woman in the Doctor dream flashbacks was until the end credits.
Now that's one for the books
Yes, I liked it. It was a crap episode of Who but it was a genuine episode and as such has been the best so far this series.
I liked last week's quite a lot. It rubbed a lot of people up the wrong way but I thought that a story within a story which ultimately is the story was very meta and reflective about our own lives. Maybe a bit too much squeezed in with the Indian and Black people having to hang out with their own thing. It was a bit racist in how that was rushed.
As for me and my getting things back together. Don't worry. I have all the time in the world

You didn’t know who she was?!! But she was going ‘grandfather grandfather’ and she must have said it about 10000 times!
Who are the gay not soldiers? I liked it when they were in the stadium watching the competition, I wish we could have seen more of that.
What else did I like…I liked it when they landed on that fateful day in May 2025 but did NOT like it when the TARDIS doors blew open. Russell always has to go a little bit too far doesn’t he.
All in all it was a solid couple of episodes. I also liked how Jo Martin told us that they will get back to her story. I like her Doctor and want to see more of all that.

I barely heard anything she said other than something like "Get up!" when The Doctor was floating frozen in space. I'll not go into the problems with the physics of The Doctor making his way to the confetti cannon but that was the only thing she said that I made out.
Not gay not soldiers were just revamps of the not gay soldiers from A Good Man Goes to War. Fun but had been done before
I didn't know that Jo Martin said they'll be exploring her story further. I like her as The Doctor and she's been the best thing since Capaldo so seeing her again would be nice
Tardis doors exploring was a bit OTT but it's a good set-up to next week's penultimate episode.
All in all; crap episode but totally Who

I’ve no idea what these are. I didn’t see any soldiers in the eppy so I must have missed that bit.
Jo Martin said something like ‘how can I take you with me when I’m in a story of my own which hasn’t finished yet’. I hope that she does return soon as I’d much rather see her than Mrs Flood every week.
I wonder if Ricky has been watching it over at Benny’s. Surely seeing Susan would even get ‘Doctor Who is for babies’ Ricky excited again.

The not gay soldiers were married (And or gay), it was all part of Moffat's writing and so who really knows?

I hope that they both watched it together with jelly and ice cream and then watched Eurovision itself and made a proper night of it! I wonder if they did.
I don’t recall these characters but I did like the two gay guys in this eppy, Gary and Brian. They were fun characters. Mrs Flood spoilt it with them at the end though. I bet she murdered them both off screen, vapourised them with a gun or something.

Speaking of Siggy…I’ve told Ricky that you’re back but I haven’t told him that Siggy is dead because he loved Siggy. They both got on really well, probably because they’re both spawns. He would be really upset if he knew the truth that you had murdered him, so I’ve told him that he’s gone to join a secret society of Monks on Little Cumbrae. Would you be willing to play along with that?

Well I hope that they will at least have the decency not to devastate a young boy in so cruel and callous a fashion.
He’s having a wonderful time!
He messaged me about half an hour ago to tell me that they have both been to the Slug & Lettuce today for food and some drinks. It does concern me a little that Benny is still posting a lot on here as all of this is going on. I hope that Benny isn’t just ignoring Ricky the whole time and playing on his phone…

Well the good thing about the bad slashies is that you can tell Ricky that they are just being needlessly nasty because they are jealous of his trip away to the island
He's seen the bad ones be nasty before so he'll lap that one up Bobby
As for Benny, I'm guessing he's presenting an ideal model to Ricky and showing him how to ask respectful question which help people ponder their lot in life
Benny is good at that (And accessing all the private data required to empty someone's bank accounts)

I'm still catching up on my Klingon, Elven and Esperanto and so other fictional languages will just have to wait until I'm ready
Good to see Enders return to its fantasy/science fiction roots though. Here's hoping that Angie's ghost and Mrs Flud are one in the same
Did you know that the bad guy in the Eurovision Song Contest episode was Rose Tyler's kids (Pardon the pun) uncle?
Uncle Benny, Uncle Bobbina, Uncle Freddy - it's the season for them!
I wonder if there is an Uncle's day like there is a Mother's day?
