How the hell do you create one of the best trilogies of our generation and decade and then make steaming piles of crap after?
Is it too much to ask for the same quality writing and story telling from TDK trilogy?
All I really wanted was better action and less of the talking but still with the strong themes and characters but we couldn't even get that.
Man of Steel wasn't bad. It was good to okay.
BVS was terrible. The Ultimate Edition improves it and makes a better movie but that's not saying much.
SS is justwtf was that?
I'm listening to the soundtrack for TDK Trilogy and all the memories and feelings are flooding back and all i can think is, I would have just preferred to have more Batman movies like that with more real world takes on the villains then the crap we're getting now. I just can't anymore.
Even if WW is amazing JL is going to suck. There is no doubt about that. Its Zack F..king Synder. Thinking realistically and logically its just impossible. Then after that what do we have? The Batman by Ben Affleck? Sure I'm excited about Deathstroke being the villain and hoping for a awesome one on one hand to hand fight but that's the sad f..king part. I'm looking more forward to the action and explosives then the characters and themes. WTFBatman became more than that. Where the hell did the character go wrong? And we've all read the or heard the crap about the script being poor. Sure it could be improved or is being improved as we speak but let's be honestis it really? WBs are the same asses who accepted BVS and rushed out SS and s..t. What hope do we really have? What hope does Batman really have? And then after that JL2 straight after we've just had the first one?
Say what you will about the MCU but they took their sweet time and made it work. WBs is truly just all about the profit and it shows and that sticks.
And you know what I learned today? That Darth Vader has only 11 Minutes of screen time in the original Star Wars. Compare that s..t to Leto's Joker in SS who had what? About that much screen time too? At least with the Extended Edition added right? Yet he does nothing of value in the film or importance. You could cut him out and the overall film would still be the same.
Maybe I'm just having a breakdown today butI'm just finally accepting the DCEU is not going to be good. We're three movies, hell if you count that crappy ass Green Lantern film which was meant to be WBs first attempt at a shared universe then technically we're four films in and we still haven't gotten a great entry.
