Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

In the comics, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman are all drawn with black hair and blue eyes. Yet when it comes to casting films or TV versions of these stories, Superman is the only one who's always presented as the great big muscular guy with black hair and blue eyes, even if they have to put blue contacts on the guy they hired. They'll use any sort of white guy to play Batman, I guess Bruce Wayne's looks just aren't iconic.

Mainly because people care more about the costumed versions than the alter egos. (When's the last time you saw someone wearing a "Bruce Wayne" T-Shirt?)
I wasn't a fan of gadot not wearing contacts personally, But Superman has the distinctive face so they try to match that while with Batman, anyone in a bat cowl will do in their eyes.

Thanks to Batmeh v Supermeh Yawn of Justice, the "S" now stands for Sidekick

Plus she's technically Greek, which means brown eyes are more common so it works fine. But mostly it's less of a character trait than with Superman.
Tony Stark has blue eyes, but no one really cared that RDJ didn'tplus the helmet I guess.

If memory serves, John Haymes Newton (he was Clark Kent/Superboy in the first season of the Superboy tv series) had green eyes. Dean Cain has brown eyes; in an early episode, Lois Lane calls them "almond colored".

I approve of casting a Wonder Woman who looks and sounds like she came from the eastern Med, it's what I'd do if I were the casting director.
Of course I don't know if they ended up with the right actress, she spoke so little that even though I'm okay with her looks, I have no idea if she can act.

I prefer Bruce Wayne with dark eyes, matches his character.
The Arkham games give him blue eyes, not a fan.
Speaking of eyes though, Aquaman now has the best.
