How could something this silly be allowed in the movie?
If that computer ship KNEW that Zod was dead, why in the hell did it let a moron of a human like Luthor get away with using Zod's glued on fingerprints??
When we're thinking about our own brain, would that be a mental paradox?? -

I was dumbstruck when I saw that in the movie - utterly dumbstruck with the stupidity of that insipid plot device.
Keep in mind the cost of those fingerprints - one single piece of cherry-flavored hard candy.

I understood it
perfectly
-as a plot device, it simply lacked anything resembling credibility or consistency with the world that was previously established in MoS - so there's that - laugh-out-loud. ha ha ha.

The point is, we are talking about comic book movie, where people can crash into mountains, jump from planes and and take fictional laser blasts from enemies unscathed. What's the difference, if it is human tech, alien tech or magical tech, it is all ridiculous at best.

I know it's all about fantasy. But within its own universe with its own rules the story should be comprehensible.
That fingerprint thing is not a drama. But it represents the biggest problem of the movie: the sloppy script.

I don't think the fingerprint thing is even close to the biggest problem. How does the fingerprint not work into the universe at all? They are cloning people or beings at least in this universe, a fingerprint copy/slice isn't even close to being a big deal.

Of course not. Within all those things they did wrong it is just a tiny detail. As I said/wrote: sloppy writing.

I admit it isn't my favorite part either, but knowing the comics and the way things work in them that is the least of things for me to worry about personally. I don't feel it's sloppy writing, as much as an idea in comics that bother me. I am one for suspending disbelief, but certain things rub me the wrong way, and cloning is by far the worst for me.
They should have had him just use Zod's hand, not that I would have had it at all, but maybe there was a rigor mortis thing going on or something. I would have left the whole Doomsday cloning thing out of it. -

Oh, it's you again. Why do you get so defensive? If you look at my post above I stated it's all comic book movies. These are fictional characters, in an at best fictional version of our world. Everything is ridiculous about them, but if you can't see that, then that is your problem not mine. Isn't the Marvel mantra, "we did it first and DC is copying", anyway? So of course I will relate a similar movie to it, seeing as MARVEL DID IT FIRST anyway.

Laughing at your idiocy isn't getting defensive, it's being amused. is there a grown up nearby that can explain the difference to you? and if not, you shouldn't be on the internet without supervision, so log off and go watch your power rangers DVD til mommy gets home.
Thanks to Batmeh v Supermeh Yawn of Justice, the "S" now stands for Sidekick -

The infamous Odum non answer to a question. Yes I am a child using the internet today while mommy is out shopping for good things for me at Christmas. Moron, answer the damn question and stop resorting to childish name calling, when I have done nothing to you but called out all comic book movies, Marvel being one of them.
I asked if it was not the same idea and you get your Spidey underoos in a bunch. Stop crying, wipe the tears off your keyboard, and actually answer a question for once, without immaturity and hyperbole.
