Omg this movie was just offensive all the way around.
No imagination. No creativity. Completely unbelievable plot.
Her made up Brooklyn accent was awful! And she was the only actor in the movie to use it even thought the movie takes place between Brooklyn and Manhattan.
The sex was overused. Two skinny pale white people ****ing like rabbits almost the entire movie before the plot moves forward. No explanation for what his parents do. Where they got their money from and why those guys worked as bodyguards or Russian thugs or whatever. -

That was intentional.
They didn't want to tell you what the parents did. Just knowing he's a billionaire oligarch is enough.
If they tell you what he did, then they're limited in how they can present the character.
They can't exactly say he's the president of Russia, or the creator of search engine Yandex (or give it a fictional name - Vandex), and portray him as having an Armenian mob working for him who are willing to break laws and kill for him. What would that be implying, exactly? Wink wink.
Knowing he's powerful and one of the richest men in the world is enough. It works much better.
