2275 - 10 years after the Enterprises 5 year mission (15 years after the events of STID). The destruction of the Klingon moon Praxis has forced the Klingon Empire into an all out invasion of the Federation, led by the sinister General Chang and brutal Captain Kruge
The war is going very badly for the Federation. Starfleet Command believes that defeat is inevitable. Within six months, they may have no choice but to surrender. The Head of Starfleet thinks its salvation lies in the reanimation of the warlord Khan (who has been stored with his followers in Area 51 now based on Ceti Alpha V) in order for him to assist in developing the new Genesis device (constructed by Dr Marcus) into a weapon to use against the Klingons in order to bring a swift end to the war. Initially subdued by a mind control device, Khan eventually breaks free and steals Genesis hijacking the science vessel Reliant and plots revenge on the Federation..
As war threatens to destroy the galaxy, the Federations last hope lies in Admiral Kirk and the disbanded crew of the Enterprise to prevent universal Armageddon! (kirk vs khan vs klingons = total Khanage!)

EDIT: alternatively could've been ST3 instead of Beyond - just have it set after the 5 year mission (5 years after STID)..or had it during the 5y mission like in Beyond (and maybe to do with what happened on Kronos in STID as opposed to Praxis) -

This sounds like the worst kind of fan writing imaginable. Didn't they already do enough eye rolling copying of TWOK in STID? And you now want to make another film that just rehashes it more.
Guy if you can't think of anything more original or creative than this no wonder why these films are beep
Why don't we hope for this, that Beyond has bombed so badly for Paramount they will scrap these movies and come up with new characters and stories that doesn't require redoing 30 year old movies.
And let's keep that fake ass white boy Khan away from anymore movies. If you can't make Khan his true origins don't bother. Or let's just not bother at all. -

For what? This has to be one of the worst ideas for a sequel I ever heard. Its fanboy writing at its worst. You basically took TWOK and TUC and combined them for a sequel. You couldn't get any lazier writing a movie if you were writing The Force Awakens and that even comes off way more original than what you just wrote.
It would make even less money than Beyond did because Trekkies know they would have run out of ideas with bland copying like that. -

Bro, don't you want to see stories with original ideas? You sound 40 years old who can't let go of the past. If you want to watch TWOK, TSFS and TUC then just watch those on your DVD. No one wants to pay money to films to see the same stuff they seen before. Why so many hated TFA.
I don't think they will make anymore of these because Beyond flopped so badly but if they do, come up with something original, not just make movies for middle age Trekkies who want to relive their childhood until they die. -

I see you have cast Brent Spiner here as Dr Soong - I think you could improve this plot even further if you had him working on a sarcasm chip for an early Data prototype. It would be interesting to see an artificial intelligence struggling to come to terms with this seemingly obvious concept

The fate of Jaylah would be revealed in a conversation between Kirk and bones:
-Say Jim whatever happened to that white alien girl from that planet we got stranded on?
-What?..oh her, yeh uh, she didn't pass the entrance exam into the Academy..
-Oh
-Yeah, we won't be seeing her again. -

Nah, I feel like these Kelvin movies need to do things totally different from the Prime verse. They need to get away from Khan or Genesis or even the Borg, but instead either give us something totally new or play up something we've only heard mentioned in passing.
I do agree about the war with the Klingons, but it should be something the Romulans have manipulated both sides into. It's up to Kirk to make peace with the Klingons and join up with them to defeat the Romulans.
But they are talking about getting Chris Hemsworth in there somehow so this could be a Yesterday's Enterprise type situation.
Revenge is the most important meal of the day.
