I just watched a rerun from 02/18/15, and in the bonus round they goofed big-time! I wonder if, after the taping, the producers stepped in and reversed the win.
The name was "Air Force One"and, as usual, with the folks on this showthe contestant wasted a ton of time with ridiculous, non-helpful clues: "um, in my shoeslike gangsters wear 'emnot the Navynot the Navy but thenot the Navy but the[celebrities say some words]
one
more
one
more"
Oops! "ONE" was part of the name! Should've been disqualified.

I think they give some leway for really common words. They wont penalize you for using THE or A even if it is part of the clue. They are also allowed to say any word one of the celebrities has said so there are several reasons they could have let it go.

I see what you're saying, but none of it applies in this particular instance. I rewound it to watch it again [and to transcribe its dialogue for my OP], and it was exactly as I said in my OP. The name was "Air Force One" and the contestant said the word "one" multiple timesbut neither celebrity had said it, so that wasn't it.

You may be right. They may have missed it. The only thing I can think of is that ONE is such a commonly used word that they give it less weight. The word itself wasn't being used as a clue just as a prompt to get them to try again.
If anything they should be disqualified for thinking 'one more' qualifies as a helpful clue. -

This episode aired again a couple days ago, and as soon as the guy started describing "Air Force One" as "um, in my shoeslike the gangsters wear 'em" I said to myself, OH!! it's THAT one!!
I thought that, perhaps, at the end, there'd be a postscript saying the contestants were disqualified, but there was nothing. I'm still wondering what actually happened, because they ABSOLUTELY should have been disqualified.

They only disqualify that one. So if they didn't get it, it doesn't matter.
It annoys me when its Jay z and they disqualify last letter of the alphabet as spelling. They aren't spelling, they are going for the word.

I don't understand what you mean.
The clue I'm referring to was in the last part of the bonus round, i.e., during the 30-second round. As soon as the contestant said "one"and, remember, the name was "Air Force One"that should've been the end of it. The buzzer should've sounded, Craig should've said, "oh, no, you said ONE!" and the game ended. But, no, they didn't catch it and the contestants won the $20,000. So I'm wondering if AFTER the show, after what we saw, they were disqualified, as they rightfully should have been.
My pet peeves: Adding "apostrophe s" doesn't make a word plural!

Oh, I didn't realize it was on the final round. Or that they won. Maybe they decided not to make a big deal out of it on TV. Or they didn't catch it and the rules let them keep the money in that case.
