First 2 seasons better than the 3rd?

You are correct, with the exception of San Junipero. The thing the third season lacked most is subtlety. I was shocked how dumbed down episodes like "Shut Up And Dance" (if two pedophiles fighting to death is your idea of some deep statement, then good night to you) or "Playtest" (don't even know what to say about this one) were. It's like Brooker picked up some current topics, but didn't evolve any creative ideas out of them. He just hit the audience over the head with them, and it's so disappointing to watch.

I think the first two series were better, as was White Christmas, which I particularly enjoyed. I think series 3 has been good with a couple of standouts but I felt the exposition in some has been too long before getting to the point of the story.
Also, sorry to say this but I preferred when they were based in the UK - they felt more dark and gritty. I appreciate the reason that Nosedive was set in the US with that white picket fence glossiness but it didn't read like a Black Mirror episode to me.
I really liked Shut Up and Dance and Playtest as they were the most dark and scary. San Junipero was lovely and heartwarming but again not in the same vein as earlier Black Mirror episodes. The others have been just ok (I've not watched Hated in the Nation yet). -

I agree Season 1 & 2 were better and I did like it better when they were based in the UK. Season 3 did feel a bit "watered down" but then I saw Man against Fire and my faith was restored. I still have to watch HITN but even if that sucks its still better then anything else out thereCant wait for season 4 to start
