Excuse my ignorance, but I was wondering how realistic this film's portrayal of martial arts really is. Now, they obviously take some libertiesno way a guy is still fighting with a sharp object shoved through his neck, and a couple other things. But as far as speed and technique go, do they really fight like this? If so, that is incredible.
Also, what style(s) of martial arts do they use in this film?

You won't find realistic martial art fight in this film, only close to it. Closer than most other MA films to date.
The martial art they are using in this film is Pencak Silat (full name of Silat), Indonesian Martial Art of which Iko Uwais (Rama) and Yayan Ruhian (Mad Dog) -who design the choreograph- are masters. Fight choreography is almost entirely based on Pencak Silat fighting as the film's main purpose was to introduce this martial art into world cinema. So yes, the technique is there.
Generally, Pencak Silat is more about speed and less about power. Speed and agilty are common characteristic of most Pencak Silat styles.
As for speed of this film, they use normal speed, meaning the speed we see on screen is real speed. Iko, being a PS practitioner himself is trained to be fast. His punching scene in Raid 1 & 2 are all displayed in normal speed, they showed us how fast he is. In one of Raid 1 BTS video the cameraman even shouted at him for being too fast in one of the fight scene.
          .
