the brooklyn museum added the ground level entrance below the real entrance
the point is because apparently lower class people are intimidated by the classical architecture of the real entrance. classical architecture is seen as elitest and uninviting to the lower classes of society. also going up stairs in America is taboo.
I will never use the poverty entrance

I'm welcomed everywhere because I have great manners and can read the room. I smile at people and look them directly in the eye.
Some people are put off by my friendliness and get suspicious. I always hope these people die in car accidents.

It has nothing to do with money. Has to do with intelligence and taste. I know people who are working class, like an artist who painted a painting of the Lee monument, spray painted, on the cover of the Richmond Times Dispatch, during the 2020 protests. Hes not rich but hes not lowest common denominator.
