Has anybody scene this? Opinions on the shrill right versus left dynamic?
I watched the reruns of this series and would have walked out if I wasn't watching it with friends who insisted we see it. It was some of the most contrived bullshit I've seen yet.
Basically there's a lesbian couple being harassed by a satanic cult. It turns into a morality play about evil Trump and a male-dominated society versus the lesbians who represent the feminist assault on patriarchy.
I realize the film industry is quasi-leftist and present everything from their perspective. But the polar contrast was a bit too cliche. I'm not a Trump fan but equating him to an evil satanic cult was a bit beyond the pale.
Lots of homoeroticism as well, both male and female. And some gory scenes worse than Rob Zombie.

Yes. When Sarah Paulson's character shrieks and cries hysterically when Trump gets elected, yelling "Nooooo, nooooo!" over and over, and is in shambles,….I think that's when I checked out.

I thought it was queer there was a 5 minute scene showing all the characters marking their ballots. One lesbian marks Hillary Clinton. And her partner hesitates and marks Jill Stein of the Green Party. After the election the one woman accuses the other one "I know you voted for Jill Stein!" Such brazen partisan bullshit on the part of the series producers.

American Horror Story was brilliant for the first 5 seasons, one of the best shows on TV.
After that it got really bad really fast.
Season 6 was bad but watchable
Season 7 was awful but I forced myself to watch it
Season 8 was unwatchable - I always watch the show the day it’s aired but it took me months to get through this pile of steaming ****.

I had to force myself to watch every single episode - they ruined every existing character and storyline, and it was just plain bad. The only thing I liked about the entire season was Leslie Grossman’s character.

It uses characters from Murder House, Coven and Hotel - and destroys them and ruins storylines which had previously ended perfectly and didn’t need retouching
