That is one thing that bugged me. Do not get me wrong, I loved the movie but didn't it take days or weeks for it to burst out of Kane's chest and then grow to maturity?

Perhaps the cryosleep slows down the evolution of the implant from the facehugger?
I know it's all fiction but for it to all work that could be a process in the mechanisms of the xenomorph evolving. Nobody in Romulus had been in cryosleep and we don't know anything of the background of the woman from Aliens who was there before the marines arrived

Yeah, they are impregnated within a minute. They are 'born' a few minutes after that. And, about five minutes after that are fully grown and lethal. And very smart.
