Did Lauren die at Camp Chapman?

Right there at the last moment, they were all saying, "get your hands out of your pockets!" and other things. Jessica was standing stupidly expecting this to turn out her way. But I noticed that Lauren took off running about 2, maybe 3 seconds before the blast.
I would like to have her survive; chiefly because she saw what the 'command' failed to see. They should have blocked off the little station wagon BEFORE they got anywhere near the 'main facility' (but that's another narrative).
But it is my contention (hope or desire?) that Lauren cleared the 'blast area' quickly enough to at least survive.
Is there a 'true outcome' or one decided by the viewer?
