Pretty much. One of the most ridiculous things for me to hear/read is the argument that you choose your sexuality. Like I'm sure people would choose to be gay when that makes them ostracized/oppressed. They're indirectly saying people choose to be bullied and suicidal.
Aside from that I don't think you can choose to be straight either. It just happens based on what you see. I've never chosen my attractions if I did they would be a lot different. I would have fallen for the guy I used to date while I was in high school instead of after as that is when he asked me out. Being straight you're not ostracized but sometimes being a non model looking woman it is hard to be attracted to guys because a lot of them are visual. I think if I were to choose a sexuality I'd invent my own. It would be like one I could turn on and off like a light switch but that's not how it works because it's not a choice. I guess you could say there is a choice but only in how you react to how you already feel. You can choose to embrace your inner feelings and libido.

I can choose to be gay, but my penis can't.
I tried a long hard time to make it respond to the male form.
I thought I could beat nature if I kept a firm resolve and a stiff upper lip, but no matter how hard I tried to penetrate the problem I never reached the climax of success.
People who say others choose to be gay might think they can do it, but let's see them put their genitals where their mouth is. -

I have two theories
- The more logical reason:
Nature
A male in the womb exposed to too little testosterone / too much oestrogen has the odds stacked in favour of them being gay
A female in the womb exposed to too much testosterone / too little oestrogen has the odds stacked in favour of them being lesbian
Nurture
Should the male then be raised in a more feminine / yin dominant environment, they will probably end up being gay
Should the female then be raised in a more masculine / yang dominant environment, they will probably end up being lesbian
The more feminine / yin parent may be the father. Nature is why two brothers can grow up in the same household but only one ends up being gay. Most gay males are usually close to their mums, and have a poor or no relationship with their dads

Many experts thought of that and ruled that out.
