What is your favorite episode and why. Also what is the coolest thing you've learned?

Let me preface this by saying I am not a fan of Joe really not Cody either but my favorite episode is Misty Mountain Drop. Joe and Cody were in the mountains of Northern California. The reason this episode is my favorite is solely because of the ending. They get to road and try to flag down a pickup truck. The passenger in the truck flips them off and yells "Get outta the road ya' damn hippies!" I laughed till I cried. That is what I would expect would happen more often. Imagine two scruffy dudes walking out of the woods towards you.
I've seen a lot of cool things, hard pick out one. The solar stills Josh built from old plastic bottles was neat. Also the water desalination set ups by both Josh and Cody were pretty cool. -

I don't know that I could pick a favorite without rewatching the early seasons.
Cody and Dave were definitely my favorite pair.
Their interactions seemed more natural. They seemed to naturally disagree about things, but without being too confrontational.
Once Joe joined the show, things became to confrontational.
After Joe left, the disagreements weren't as confrontational, but they seemed too forced. Almost like the two would actually agree, but one of them had to take the opposite view just to support the "opposing strategies" premise of the show.
The early shows also seemed to spend a little more time on showing them perform the skills. The new ones talk about it and explain it, but never show much of them doing it. For example, flint napping or twisting cordage.
Now it's much more footage of them navigating difficult terrain, likely for the danger and suspense, rather than "boring" crafting.
I much preferred when they sit still and we watch them craft snowshoes or whatever.
The coolest thing I've learned about is the snow cave (no pun intended).
It's been done on a few episodes, the first one with Dave and Cody when they lined it with spruce boughs, then the one with Matt and Joe. It prompted me to learn a little more online about them.
