On a side note, holy Christ! This movie got away with a lot of profanity for a PG-13. The only other PG-13 on this level that I'm aware of is Ferris Bueller's Day Off. That has 20 uses of sh!t. Or, Barbershop which has 8 s-words, but FOURTY-NINE uses of ass and 23 uses of damn. The sequel had 24 uses of ass and TWENTY ONE uses of sh!t too.

I was most surprised by the F-bomb. Not because it's a PG-13 film (you're allowed one F-bomb by the MPAA in a PG-13 film I believe), and not because it didn't fit the moment or wasn't true to the character who used it, but mostly because it didn't fit the genre.

is like a love letter to Spielberg's

and
Close Encounters
, and though they have some salty language, they don't drop any F-bombs.

This movie was REAL, as in it had characters say and act how real people would in real life rather than how a movie would portray people. It's one of the great things about it.

Yeah, the F Bomb was a little OTT for this type of film - even if it was a PG 13(12 in the UK - and yes, you're allowed to use it - but once only as well).
