Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Margin Call

hi,i was just interested if someone could have a guess but how much would key players in the margin call film get in salary and bonuses etc, we already know what will makes at $2.5million per year, but what about others?.
zach quinto's analyst as well as his friend who is fired, i.e. salary and type of severence from someone in their position.
sam rogers salary he had to be making more than wills manager at 2.5million per year, and what type of bonus would he get when he leaves the firm in the extra 2 years he has to stay with the firm?, also how much would he recieve in shares when he goes, i.e. after 34 years of service in the position he was in?
how much do you speculate was in the cheque that tuld gave sam in the bathroom?
the salary of eric's analyst, even though never announced what would you speculate? and how much per hour did he say he was getting per hour?, $176k, for how many hours did he have to stay there?
demi moores manager and sams boss salaries?, how much do you think demi moores manager would get to keep quite, bonus severence?
if anyone could take an accurate stab in the dark, of no real importancwe i know just curious, i asked a similar question about the wall street money never sleeps board as well.
    ..

One of my brothers friends got a job similar to Zachary Quinto's more junior mate at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London straight out of Uni for 50k ($80k ish) a year, plus 10k signing on bonus and extra in bonus throughout the job, it's reasonable to assume major firms in City of London pay similar wages to Wall Street's major players he's been in the job about 3 years now, and he's now more at Zach Quinto's level, don't know what kind of money he's getting now.

An analyst/quant on Wall Street would make $200-500K.
Someone at Sam's/Demi Moore level would have a salary+bonus package of $5-15M, usually these positions also have a golden parachute clause (if they are forced out) of ~2-3x their yearly pay.
My guess is Tuld is going give Sam at least 10M in bonuses, its a small price to pay. Actually it doesn't cost him a cent as it all comes out of the client's money.
bottom line - they are all very very rich.
