Starts off okay, but just goes downhill. No one thought to call any bigger police force. The town has no children. A 115lb woman who never drank in her life ,but drinks more in one sitting that day to put a 250lb man to shame, is sober enough to save the town. The jokes in this weren't funny at all. They never say what happened to the monster babies .
This is for drunk people who like dry humor and older men that prays for that one last 20 something to fall in love with home types.

I agree for the most part, it left a lot to be desired. Just another case of someone coming up with a solid plot, then having NO IDEA what to do with it. Don't think it was a budget thing since the monster cgi wasn't terrible, the writing just not being there was the big problem.
The jokes weren't funny, the characters were annoying, events made no sense (the alien eats a drunk person as one point, wasn't the whole idea that if you're drunk they won't attack you?! or like you mentioned her drinking), the dialogue was boring, the pacing pretty bad (it felt way longer than it was), and I was hoping for more.
Obviously not the worst movie ever made, but it should have been better with a funny plot like that. Also what is your 3.5 out of? 5? 10? That changes things quite a bit

'No one thought to call any bigger police force.'
It's an island. Did you miss the phone conversation where they call the mainland for help and are told that it won't come until the morning because of the storm coming in?
        'The town has no children.'
You missed the sequence at the beginning where you see families with children getting on a ferry to go to a festival on the mainland (the same ferry that brought Lisa?
'A 115lb woman who never drank in her life ,but drinks more in one sitting that day to put a 250lb man to shame, is sober enough to save the town.'
You missed the scene where the heroes stand in the room upstairs and the landlord does a breath test on someone and says 'we're sobering up'?
'They never say what happened to the monster babies'
You see them downstairs at the pub. Lisa accidentally sets fire to the pub. Join the dots.

Very nice. My own version of this would have contained many more insults towards the dumb bast- I mean the fellow viewers who apparently DIDN'T WATCH THE DAMNED MOVIE.

Had to correct you there, but our women can put away drink like an American demolishing a foodstuff.
