(TWD topic) Newman says hi!

I'm in touch with Newman, and I let him know that a lot of the TWD posters were here. He doesn't have time to post at the moment, but he wanted me to say hi for him. Since he was kind of known for his weird stories, he thought you might like to read about an unusual experience he had recently:
A coworker convinced me to install Pokémon Go on my iPhone a few weeks ago. It encourages walking, so that seemed like a good fit for my walking goals in the United Healthcare Motion program - i.e., to help meet the “intensity” and “frequency” goals of that program outside of work.
I drove my car to a local park after work a few days ago, where there is a cluster of different Pokestops to collect items needed for catching Pokémon (which also tend to gather around those locations).
I went to the farthest parking lot of the park, away from the main entrance. There was another car already there, with what appeared to be a young couple inside the car. I only glanced at them for a split-second as I pulled into that lot. Then I parked about 8 spots away from them and shut off my car. There was a Pokestop right there, so I just stayed in the car and started catching Pokemon before trying other locations.
The other car left very soon after I started playing that game.
Within about five minutes of them leaving, I looked up from my phone to see car headlights approaching very fast. It looked like the maniac was driving about 60 mph in a park with very narrow roads and 10 mph speed limits. Then the siren lights started flashing, and I knew it was a cop heading my way. I was the only person parked down there at that point, so he was obviously coming for me.
I quickly rolled down my window and dangled my hands outside so the cop would see that I was unarmed. As expected, he screeched behind my car and asked me what I was doing.
I told him that I was playing Pokémon Go, and I was parked right next to a Pokestop. He immediately looked relieved, but also broke out in a laughing smile that conveyed, “Oh, he’s a dork!” He said that all parks were closed after dark, and I needed to leave. I could return in the daytime if I wished. I mentioned that I’d seen people walking their dogs there at night, and I just saw another car parked near me just minutes earlier. He said they shouldn’t have been there at night either. So I told him that I didn’t know those rules, and I wouldn’t go there at night anymore.
I told the Pokemon guy at work about the incident the next day, and he broke out laughing after he thought about. He said the young couple probably thought I was masturbating in my car if all they could see was my face lit up by my phone and me making motions with my hand (as I was vigorously swiping the phone to catch Pokémon). Lol, I didn’t even consider that possibility! -

Thanks! Yes, due to the recent changes, I had to add that part, or the non-TWD posters wouldn't know who I was talking about. They might think I was referring to the poster Drake, who has a Newman avatar.

I agree. I understand how excited they are to have us seeing as Thirsty's thread (or any thread, really) with TWD in the title is more action than they get in a week, but even so.
I'll roll out of here in Ben's wheelchair before I conform!
