It's a party

Everyone is drinking, having fun, gossiping, flirting. It's heavenly!
But what is this??? In the corner is an old man, all by himself, looking forlorn. He is badly dressed, and looks homeless. He also smells like a dead horse. He has no socks (everyone else seems to have socks). The pretty young things give him a wide berth as they walk past. He smiles sheepishly at them; they ignore him.
He mutters to himself: "It's all right. I was invited here. I'm better than any of them. I have a right to be here."
Suddenly he breaks wind loudly. The circle around him presses back even further. Many of the partygoers hold their noses. A butler approaches him and whispers in his ear. The old man laughs loudly, but with little conviction. Two men in dark suits drag him to the door and hurl him out.
He sits on the pavement, sobbing. This is what he says, between sobs:
"I'm not sure what your Freudian slip is implying but I can clearly see who you are implicating by it. Even the most eloquent 13 year old to have seen The Dark Knight would be 25 years old by now. Chances are posters there were over 13 years old and so, at the youngest, they are likely 30 years old or older. Which means I'm having someone who should have at least a job, mortgage and family call me senile based on nothing but hubris. Yeah, I think I'm the one with the mental issues here. I don't think you understand the nuance being applied here. Hey man, I'm all up for cleft infinitives if that's your thing."
Night falls and he trudges home. Home is an old box with faded lettering: Dove Soap.
