And this was supposed to be another 'Suicide Squad' or even 'Fant4stic' because it had a lot of reshoots!
You know why it worked? Because unlike people who made this catastrophe, people who made 'Rogue One'
knew what they were doing and actually tried
. They knew what kind of film 'Rogue One' was going to be - a war film set in a 'Star Wars' universe, unlike 'Fant4stic', which they didn't even TRY to figure out what they were trying to make.

It's Star Wars, so it had really good brand recognition behind it, had really good talent working on it, and although they apparently did reshoots to correct stuff, it's because they knew where they were going.
What we see and what we seem are but a dream. A dream within a dream.

There's a bit of a stigma against reshoots, but in reality they're actually fairly common. Sometimes they're to change or alter the story or tone (which is when they often cause problems), but usually they're just to improve scenes that aren't working or could be better. As long as the director/studio are on the same page and know what they're doing, they don't usually ruin the film. There are exceptions of course, like Fant4stic or Suicide Squad as you said.
