        The decision to have Reed run out on Sue, Johnny and Ben when Ben was changing, frightened and begging Reed to stay and help was so bad that making Reed the right age would not have saved the character.

          I agree David. That and having the line, "It's clobbering time!" said by Ben's abusive brother before hitting him as a kid are such dumb decisions. The heads of Fox can suck a bag of rocks for producing this stupid movie instead of selling the rights back to Marvel.
