Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Roadie

I haven't seen this film, but I think the title and the fact that it has the exact same name as a previous film (and deals with a lot of the same sort of content) is going to get it confused as a remake of the 1980 comedy starring MeatLoaf, Blondie and Alice Cooper. Just a thought

That's funny because it's on HDNET Movies right now on ATT U-Verse and the description info is for the 1980 Meat Loaf version. Someone dropped the ball on that one, I suppose.

I just got done watching it on HDNet
I was totally confused for 20 mins saying to myself
how the hell is Ron Eldard in this movie that was made in 1980.
Even more confusing is when I come on imdb to check that out
I see it's released in theaters 2 days from now.
Why the hell is this on TV?
It's almost like HDNet was supposed to play the 1980 version
and some kid there saw an unreleased film called "roadie" and put it
        on the air by mistake.
Incredible acting in this film though.

          It's an HDNet sneak preview.
