I was exciting to watch this TV Mini-Series, where the cast are awesome with Tom Hiddleston, Hugh Laurie, and the rating is 8.3 , but unfortunately i end up with TV Mini-Series add nothing new in the table.
I saw this plot many times in the movies of the 90 , so i feel bored with everything in the storyline.
The acting is good, but i think they need more charming (babyface looking) actor to do this right as spy who loved by the girls.
The villain "Hugh Laurie" looks very stupid , they said in the first episode that he is very clever, but wow , he did mistake after mistake until you ask yourself "why they need to put spy on him?"

Same here. I only kept watching to episode 4 because I was home sick and had not much to do anyway.
The show never managed to build suspense, the acting (or is it the story?) is rather dull and I don't really care for the main character. Quite the letdown considering all the good things I had heard about the show beforehand

        Good acting, bad writing.

Agreed. Plus I really didnt care for Jonathan, always with this "Im a little orphan boy" look on his face. Hugh was excelent as allways, but the Roper character was do naive!
"why they need to put spy on him?"
          thats good point!
