Not only am I disappointed that they cancelled Limitless but to have this fill the slot is just crazy. They dumped an 8.5 show for a 4.5 show. Bravo CBS.

"Limitless" was on Tuesday. This is on Friday. They cancelled "Limitless" for "Bull"!
"MacGyver" is one of the top 3 rated (7-8m, 1.1demo in the overnights) shows on Friday nights every week that it has aired and H5O's ratings are up from last season and that is attributed to this show as it's lead in. Also it was never going to be put anywhere other than Friday nights because they wanted to pair it with H5O, the other Lenkov show.
"Limitless" was effectively cancelled as soon as CBS convinced Michael Weatherly to leave "NCIS" for "Bull" because there was nowhere else they were going to put "Bull" than Tuesday nights. They did try to sell off "Limitless" (like they did with "Supergirl") but none of the other networks wanted it. Which speaks volumes about what the networks thought of the show. -

It was a lot more fun than the typical police procedural. They rarely played things straight, it was a fresh unique take on a worn weary genre.
