Why did they hire a weird Argentinian guy that doesn't understand American culture? He butchered Stephen King's work to the point it was almost unrecognizable. Also, switching the timeline to the 80s in the first movie? He just essentially copied stranger things and even hired in that kid from the show. It was an embarrassment to sit in a cinema watching this toilet of a film.

For my personal taste, it was very slapped together. It actually had too much pennywise and not enough build up suspense. Also, an annoyance was that the kids seemed to be all friends already, we got none of the friendship building scenes. And the other stuff I mentioned, the timeline shift and the monsters that pennywise shape shifted to not being even close to the source material. Pretty nondescript. I think the director actually insulted the intelligence of the audience that we wouldn't be able to grasp a 1950s timeline with universal monster classics like Wolfman, Dracula, and Frankenstein. You could say that people wouldn't be afraid of those now, but executed correctly it could have been terrifying.
Anyway, just my 2 cents.

I thought the acting was OK. It wasn't really groundbreaking though - but I think the screenplay wasn't written brilliantly to make it possible to get oscar winning acting. But ive seen much worse acting, this was good but not great. Again just my opinion.

I couldn't agree more. A travesty. And Part 2 is even worse.
There are 8.2 billion people in the world. 8.19 billion of them have never heard of and don't give a fuck about Charlie Kirk. Get over it.
