I just wanted to point something out about this narrator's confusion about seeing doorknobs in the middle of the door.
By the time my parents could afford to move us into our first house, which my Father designed, our front doors were double doors with doorknobs in the middle of the door. It was considered to be rather nouveau at the time, but quickly became more commonplace.

I hated it. It was extremely awkward opening the door because the balance felt very off. My father also put a circular driveway in the front yard and a fountain in. I thought it looked tacky as hell, and when my Father eventually sold the house, the first thing the new owners did was remove that silly fountain! lol

But I posted it specifically for your enjoyment, Tara.
Why you always got to be so triggered by the slashdot?
It seems like you need a hug.
