No cultural misandry.
While the mother, Violet, seemed to be an equal-opportunity aggressor, she was much harder on the women (her daughters in particular). Even stating things like "women grow uglier with age than men", when age is clearly not kind to either gender.

Hum. Men do not have many good points in that movie. At some point, it gets annoying. The sheriff and the cousin have got good numbers, and they paid for it.
The one I do not get at all is Barbara's hubbie, though. Is he so infatuated with his "superior intellect" that he thought she would not utter a peep ?
Johna's might have play shovel time with him as much as with Steve, IMHO.

yeah. but based on the movie.. it was her mother who had the bad qualities.. and she inherited those qualities and passed them on to her daughters.
Can this really be the end..to be stuck inside of mobile
