Can't believe I bought this movie for one dollar.

Most of the movies you can find at Dollar Tree are utter crap there's a reason they're in there. But every so often, you make a real find, like
Bernie
with Jack Black and Shirley Maclaine, or this film. That's why I keep patronizing that store and buying dollar DVDs: you never know what you're gonna get. Even the commentary track on this DVD is great, with Michael Caine dropping familiar names I haven't heard in years (e.g., Robert Helpmann, who played the evil Child Catcher in
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
, and Leslie Bricusse, who wrote the lyrics to the songs in
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
and
Scrooge
). Even if I'd've bought this DVD for $15, I still would've been satisfied. This is a great film.
