Kelly Clarkson didnt have an album until later in the year either, but that one was forgivable.
The whole point of setting it in 2003 was baffling to begin with, but the numerous anachronisms just made it worse. July 2005, when there was an actual earthquake in Tokyo, would have made a hell of a lot more sense.

Neither was the group, known as ToHoShinKi in Japan, that was very briefly shown on a BIG poster. I know for a fact that at the time that poster was made it was in the Summer of 2007 and I also know that that group hadn't even debuted in Japan in 2003. That IS unforgivable. I wished they had learned a bit more about where they were filming and what was being filmed. Even if it seems little there is someone who will notice these things. It just ruins whatever believability the movie had for me coupled with other things and I couldn't watch anymore.
