Obviously we should always RESPECT and HONOR those who fight for our country.
But if you separate this from the movie, the movie was not that good
AGAIN, please don't think I am attacking the Flag or the US or the Armed Forces
I am just talking about a movie which was uni-dimensional, had no depth and used gimmicks like THREE-same flashbacks to how medals were washed as if we would forget in the 77 minutes span of this movie.
"Taking Chance" would be if the Kevin Bacon character would have at least once questioned if all these young Americans were dying for a worth while cause in a land so far away from their homes
I am not taking any sides here other than one of Respect for All the Soldiers
I am just saying that the movie only had one track. -

The film was terrible. I get so tired of people pretending films are good just because they are about the military or are religious. At least the people involved in this had the common sense not to release it in theaters though.

I agree. As a movie it was not very good. However, I have heard that it was very factual as to how the bodies are cared for and the protocol. For that reason alone I really enjoyed it and have recommended it to several people. To be able to get that insight was very powerful for me and my family
We have many family members, every generation, in every branch of the military. We are extremely fortunate to have never lost anyone or have any severe injuries.
