Roman Emperor Titus sacked Jerusalem in response to a revolt of the Israelites in 70 C.E., his armies demolished the Temple of Jerusalem and brought the spoils back to Rome. The loss of the Temple resulted in the end of ritual sacrifice and the priesthood
real Judaism was based on sacrifice rituals at the temple based on **** from the Hebrew Bible
the inability to do blood sacrifices at their special little temple was so disruptive to Judaism that they had to remake the entire religion revolving around "rabbinic interpretations" and new made up rituals
