HBO has never made a prequel or spinoff series from one of its scripted hits. But Game of Thrones could change that.
The networks programming president Casey Bloys confirms HBO is still talking to author George R.R. Martin about ideas for a follow-up to the international Emmy-winning hit series, which is seen by more than 20 million viewers.
I would say its still kind of preliminary ongoing talks, Bloys replied when asked if hes zeroed in on a specific idea from Martins thousands of years of Westeros history to potentially develop into a new show. There are areas we are exploring, but I wouldnt point to any one and say, This is what were going to do.

Sounds promising. What could the story be about? Not the Robert's rebellion? Dunk and Egg? No, too short for TV series. Unless it will be 1 season only, like 11.22.63.

With Vinyl cancelled and Westworld being a medically approved substitute for Ambien, my guess is that HBO wants something long lasting. And probably no dragons bc budget.

A dead robot just doesn't impress me, unless it is played by Arnold. The last episode was much better, though; now we have a body count of 2 if you include the fly of episode 1.

Westworld already started to go bad with the 7th episode. It doesn't bode well.

What about an anthology, each season something else? Could be dope.
However I'm still strongly against any type of spin off, leave GoT be.
