3 stop max?

Ok, so towards the beginning of the movie when the guys are asking to hop on the shuttle and the driver tries to turn them away by saying the shuttle has a 3 stop max, doesn't make sense to me. There are 3 people on board at the time with the 2 girls being dropped off togetherso that makes 2 stops total (1 for the coward/evil guy and 1 for both girls) not 3 stops. Can anyone explain?

I don't think that's what the OP is getting at. He saying they only had two stops so explain the rules to the rich boy and his friend shouldn't have made sense to them. Jules and Mel must have been planned to get dropped off separate from each other, but of course that means each of the guys would have gone with one of the girls. Rich Boy home with Jules and the meat-head with Mel.
