Why are horror movies so cruel to pregnant women ?

You just know as soon as a pregnant woman appears in a horror film, she dies or her baby dies or is a zombie or her belly explodes..etc etc It's getting old and lacks imagination.. LOL

Antisocial and Preservation are two horror movies I can name off the top of my head where the main characters are pregnant yet they kick ass.
