Early 60's/50's-like First Three Seasons or Hippie Era Other Seasons

To me the show was perfect looking, a real looker, during the 1950's like aura of the early 1960's (and late fifties for a little bit there). I liked the fact this era was being portrayed because it rarely is; the Koren War vets are rarely shown as humans, just machines. The 1950's in today's culture is just known for its paranoia and unfairness to communism, and all that garbage.
The last four seasons, with the original ensemble broken up and people coming and going in the office, looked okay during the initial bridge, but then started to resemble a costume party with a hippie later sixties' theme: totally fake haircuts, mustaches, beards.
Anyhow… Right now Mimi Cruise Rogers is seducing Peggy and for the first time involving Peggy I have wood.

State fair?
Considering this three year old topic of conversation, I grew up at home in the sixties.

The early 60s, Dick Van Dyke era and atmosphere of the show was what made it unique. It was a shame they skipped over 1961 because Matthew Weiner was so eager to jump to the middle of the decade. The hippie stuff we have all seen before in previous shows. I kinda wish the show had just concentrated on the years from 1958-1964 or somewhere along those lines.
