Literally never gets remotely old. It's almost entering Rocky, Die Hard, Terminator, Trading Places territory for me. Such a great movie.

I agree it's fantastic ain't it. I have seen it a good 7/8 times. I still wouldn't say it's on the level of "godfather" or "goodfellas" but it's still a superb and very well made gangster movie

Ha. Love Trading Places too. One of my earliest favorite movie, had it on VHS and used to watch it without end. It used to air often around Christmas too.
How not to love that movie as a kid when Jamie Lee Curtis discloses her generous bosom out of the blue in the middle of it? I'm sure we all remember that scene.
Some others of my earliest favorites movies that i used to watch obsessively as a kid, during wknds, holidays and especially around Christmas:

        • The Golden Child
        • Alien 2
        • Predator 1&2
        • Beverly Hills Cop
        • Coming to America
        • Airplane!
        • Batman
        • Hudson Hawk
        • Home Alone
That's my experience of the 80's in a nutshell.
PS: Sorry for sidetracking your thread.
