    Had a rewatch after many years last night.
    Such an interesting guy. It's cool that they showed his photo at the end too.
    Do you think that he actually died in such an organized manner? I know animals and even people have been known to choose the moment they are ready to die.
    The way his character in the film did was actually pretty cool, having the strength to wrap himself up perfectly and put himself at the window to look at the sky, even smiling..etc.
    Coming back en 2026-Viva Venezuela!

      Ultimately, the transition from life to death was certainly gentle for him.
      But I don't think he died with a smile because he
      wanted
      to live.
      Hunger is very painful at first, but then comes the phase where you are just tired and often have hallucinations.
      His Christian faith also helped him, because as he wrote himself short before his death:
      I HAVE HAD A HAPPY LIFE AND THANK THE LORD. GOODBYE AND MAY GOD BLESS ALL!
      We will never know for sure because he was dead for too long when he was found.

        I guess once you get past the pain the spiritual connection takes over. That's something we can all wish for.
