Well, I think it depends on the child, it depends on their personality, education, some are more mature than others But there are children who can handle that, I mean, such things shouldn't be a taboo anyway, children can understand anything if you're patient enough to explain it to them. Ok, not very little children, 13 year olds usually are and they can understand such things quite easily. Just because they see a film where the characters do drugs, or a sex scene or something like that, it doesn't mean they'll do it too.

And some adults still think farts are funny and can't handle too much sex on screen. We give age way too much importance, when there are so many factors that are more important.

You know, I watched "The Shining" before I was 17 (the age restriction for the R rating) and I still haven't suffered any bad effects from it.

Dude i agree so much. Ive been watching the worst movies with certificate 18 since i was Around 12 years, i dont get affected by any of those movies. But if my mom ever found out, i would be in big trouble, and thats not right. In my opinion. Some kids can handle it others cant.
