I wanted to see if the language for Dog Day Afternoon was considered pervasive or not, but couldn't find out 😕
I also would have wanted to see the rating for The Elephant Man.

If you have ever seen a movie trailer at the movie theater, you would see at the beginning of the trailer the part that shows what the movie the trailer is about is rated that is either red or green, at the bottom left and bottom right of the screen two web addresses:
        http://www.mpaa.org/
        and
        http://www.filmratings.com/
. If you go to either of those websites, you can type the name of the movie into the search box and the website will tell you what the movie was rated and why. Hope this helps.

I would actually recommend checking out the parents guide on the imdb page. They will give you a rundown of the language, violence, sexual content and drug usage.
