Ant-Man is a lark. It's a lighthearted, human-scaled matinee adventure that feels like an antidote to the WBs dour and depressing take on the genre. This is why they invented the cinema.

Marvel is a bigger success given how none of its character had a pre-built in fan base like Harry Potter or Hunger games or even Spider-man

One of the best moments is an encounter with one of the Avengers (Anthony Mackie's Falcon), which offers a strong hint about how Ant-Man can liven up the Avengers franchise as a whole. The after credits scene confirms it.

Had an absolute BLAST. It's easily one of the better Marvel solo films. TWS and Avengers are tops but Ant Man is right below them. Was so much fun, the action and humor were great.
Reed did an amazing job, if there's a sequel I hope they get him to do it.
