Collider video is the new AMC Movietalk. Those guys all moved over to that site. John Campea and company.

Collider Video review with John Campea and Mark Ellis are going to become the new Siskel and Ebert At The Movies for the 21st century. Honestly, they now have the biggest stage on the web and will be promoted more than anything on that old AMC channel. Also, being free of AMC means they can bash more freely current run films.

What can I say about the performances? Everybody is great and the chemistry is different between every single lead character. Thats just an exquisite thing to savor because its done right in this case.
They did so with heart and intelligence. -

Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) isnt an every man really. Hes gone to prison for a crime that few would have thought to commit, much less possess the skills to accomplish. Yet, hes a man, struggling financially, determined to become a better father for his daughter, and caught in a self-sabotaging cycle that hes desperate to escape. Most of us will be able to relate to at least one of those circumstances. When Scott is swept into a world that he could scarcely imagine, he responds with a hilarious incredulity that grounds the world and allows the audience to buy into it.

I agree with all of that, especially the first bit. The movie makes it very clear that you have to be an unusual man to use the suit effectively for good, and Scott Lang is that man.
Also, it takes an unusual man to pay the price without complaint. "The suit takes its toll." We never hear what that toll is, but it's enough to deter the original Ant-Man. What kind of man would pay that toll? Hank Pym himself (though he would not have his only daughter pay it), but also Scott Lang: a man who would risk prison to carry out a "Robin Hood" idealistic heist.
The background that Scott Lang was a criminal, which I thought might turn me off the movie, became one of the biggest positives.

I watched the whole thing and boy did they sound really excited about it. Yeah they got me even more excited. I think AM is going to be a big hit after all. Once the nerds starts getting excited then it becomes infectious lol. The fact one of them thought it was actually better than IM says a lot. I know thats not considered the best film these days but it still holds up a lot and its still probably the best origin story film which obviously this is, so if he said that, that gives you pause. Cant wait now. I need something to hold my MCU fix then watching AoS reruns lol.
Marvel 2015: Agents of Shield, Agent Carter, Avengers 2, Daredevil, Ant-Man, Jessica Jones! -

AoS then Jessica Jones in the Fall/Winter works.
Next year is going to be strange (no pun intended) if I remember right. We get Civil War in early May then Fox's X-Men Apocalypse in late May and then nothing for the entire summer until late in the year. Dr. Strange will be November right?
When is Daredevil season two releasing? -
