Humanity, or what it becomes, reaches every far flung corner of the universe and is sitting there at the end of time. Everything has been discovered and there is nothing more to be known that can be known.
Every single person then is as knowledgeable on the purpose of existence as they were the day they were born, whenever that may have been and regardless of the world around them at the time.
So no, it won't all work out in the end -

Yes. It already has. The world was much more **** 100 years ago, even more **** 1000 years before that, and absolute, pure, unadulterated, ungodly **** 10,000 years before that. Everything always gets better.
