Kind of an inside thing for those in the SanFreakPsycho area.
He was a columnist for the Chronicle who had little blurbs and shout outs to things going on about town.
He was mentioned twice in the movie so if you saw it and did not live in the area or never saw his column then you would not have known who he was.
