Because the movie seems to have a dumb marketing in the englisch speaking world, the english trailer really sucks too.

Actually, they called themselves "Die Erziehungsberechtigten" which cannot be properly translated into English. It's a juridical term and the English equivalent would be "legal guardian". But a direct translation would be "authorized to educate". Which is basically an educator (but the double meaning is lost).
Anyway, this doesn't answer the original question at all. I guess it was just to give the title a foreign feel to it.

Interesting. I never really thought about why it was spelt differently. I assumed it had been in German, and had just been translated as such, but I never wondered why.

Amerika (I think, perhaps, to evoke the word swastika)
