      I dont know about the best, but its definitely up there. Hoffman is absolutely terrificespecially when compared to Toby Joness inferior take on the author.

        Is it really a biopic though? It's just four years of the life of Capote hardly what I'd call a true biopic of the man. They may be the most interesting years but you learn nothing about the rest of his life before or after.

          Why is Toby Jones' portrayal inferior? I thought it just as good. He didn't have the physical differences to overcome like Hoffman so there's that.

            Yes. I would have loved to see a sequel with PSH showing the demise of Capote. He never wrote another book after "In Cold Blood", because it took so much out of him. I think Hoffman would have been brilliant in that story as well.

              Well it helps that it's not at all a biopic. It's a real person-centered drama.
              It offers but a glimpse of Truman Capote and I still prefer Infamous even though PSH was amazing.
