Men can meetup with someone who attracts them; have a good time; have sex etc.
These women know some guy for a few hours and for a few days and then seem to expect a lifetime commitment.
It was unrealistic for Stephanie to take promises of love or marriage after knowing someone for a few hours.

Agree about Stephanie. I understand she felt betrayed and all that and he should never have lied to her but seriously, she didn't even know the guy, was banging him within hours of meeting him, having her child call him Uncle Jack after knowing him for a day and having him tuck her into bed in the middle of the night and all that. I'm not saying she deserved it but how naive could she possibly be?! She obvious had issues and was not a very responsible or sensible woman.

I don't know why you have to make this a women vs men comment. The waitress at the end certainly was open to have a good time without a commitment. And Miles was clearly against Jack just meeting up and having a good time and that seemed only partially related to the fact Jack was getting married.

Yeah, agreed completely. In addition, Jack threw around some committment talk of his own, when he suggests moving up there and opening a winery. That's pretty permanent. The OP needs to rewatch it, I think.
