Vin Diesels character is the same one played by Jean Marc Barr in Red Siren, a 2002 film.

I can't think of a recent mainstream picture LESS likely to get a sequel. The film was a box-office catastrophe, but what's more nobody who worked on it actually liked it. It remains (alongside the first WOLVERINE) the consummate example of hos meddling and intrusive the old creative regime were at Fox
